Top Drawer is a Home, Gift, Fashion & Craft show held in January at Olympia in London. Always-on-trend, the theme this year was neon, with fluorescent tubes suspended in geometric patterns.
It is one of the most successful of all the London based shows, appealing to both large & small retailers due to the wide range of exhibitors.
With regards to trends for S/S17, Blue and Green should definitely be seen. These both work fabulously with grey, which it seems is here to stay!
Expect to see this around the store in the coming months.
Designed In Colour was founded in 2015 by two friends who have a studio & showroom in the Oxo tower. They design contemporary, colourful design-led products (including the now iconic Pantone Mug, a familiar item on the high street).
Amongst an eclectic array of table top pieces, Display Manager Sarah Norris has selected a collection of tactile, hand-blown glass tumblers & carafes to add a touch of the Mediterranean to our Garden Furniture displays this Spring/Summer.
Make International was established in 2005, and frequently collaborates with other designers to create items that are practical, high quality & stylish.
In 2008 they joined forces with renowned ceramicist Keith Brymer Jones to create an appealing range of white porcelain crockery with hand stamped detail. These ranges will be hitting the shelves in March/April!
A visit to their 25,000 sq ft showroom in Lancashire in order to view 14,000 product lines sourced globally is an absolute must. You will find everything you need under one roof. Their collections span from traditional to contemporary furniture, design-led accessories and artificial floral. Their landscaped garden area displays all of our outdoor furniture ranges, stoneware and ornamental items.
One of the most popular room sets at the show centered around a deep white linen corner group, accented with blue and white cushions and oversize lamps. The furniture, with its oriental influences, contrasted well with basket ware and palms creating an almost British Colonial meet Miami style which was both uplifting and refreshing.
The Hearts collection (pic on the right) is covered in pale pink hearts on a neutral grey background.
Runner Duck (pic on the left) features quirky white runner ducks waddling around a soft blue coloured background.
Each collection comprises of fine bone china, kitchen essentials, bags, accessories and other homewares.
