Meet The Owner – Paul Glasswell13th February 2018
It is obvious from looking at two of our main suppliers, Harlequin
& Prestigious Fabrics
, there is a theme that continues to evolve – bold large scaled plants & leaves.
Building on the huge success of Amazilia, Harlequin’s latest collection Zapara is inspired by fashion and a love of all things eclectic yet sophisticated. It embodies the beauty of the Amazon in a selection of striking printed fabrics, weaves and a voile. Jewel-coloured patterns and textures mix to create a carefully considered range that exudes style and glamour.
Taking the theme on a more stripped back approach is Prestigious, with their offering “Sakura”, which is inspired by nature and architecture. You get a sense of bringing the outdoors inside with “Terrace” patterned plants.
According to Pinterest, searches for “pattern plants” is up 533 per cent. With vibrant designs and colours, our suppliers are bang on trend this season.
Other trends still dominating interiors include geometric designs and no room would be complete without adding texture. This year it’s velvet for the statement soft furnishings; cushions, upholstered headboards and stand alone feature chairs.
All the fabrics shown here (as well as hundreds more) are available to buy in store at our Bury St Edmunds & Ipswich stores.
